Purchased for $30,000 at the 2009 DN Sale. A polled Julius Caesar son out of a strongly bred Minlacowie female who most unfortunately met with an injury in the off season and had to be put down. He was a very smooth long upstanding bull who bred true to his type. We are able to continue to use his genetics through artificial technologies.

A beautifully quite very early maturing bull, ‘337’ has been the sire of some of our most successful show females(Billabong Flir, Billabong Gypsy ,Billabong Halycon) he throws an excellent coat and colour on his progeny. Luckily we can still benefit from his line in the use of our AI programme.

A consistently solid performing sire of both outstanding bulls and females. We have found his cows to be medium framed, perfect uddered fertile dams. We have used sons and grandsons of Godfreys in our herd and you can always see his stamp on his decscendants. His bulls always display his excellent polled head, even muscled carcase. His sons have sold to a top of $25,000, grandsons have sold for a top of $100,000 (Minlacowie Lexington) . We have sold nearly 50 of his sons through the sale ring to average $7617.Godfrey although the ‘elder statesman’ of our herd now spends his days in retirement.

Billabong Jackson

Billabong Jackson is a long, fleshy bull with an exceptionally quiet temperament. His progeny have impressive show and sale records. Among the most exciting successes was the sale of Bryvonlea Elisha, to the Atkinson Family for $55,000.00, the 2nd highest sale price at the 2005 Rockhampton National Bull Sale, winning the Reserve Senior Bull at Beef 2006 and the Supreme Droughtmaster Exhibit at the Gympie Feature Show. Seventeen of Billabong Jackson's sons, sold at the Rocky National Sales, have averaged $10,970.00. Overall 63 bulls have been sold to average $6750.00. Many of his daughters have been retained in the stud while those sold have topped at $7000.00. He passed away in 2011 and is sadly missed. |

Purchased from the Billabong Stud in 2008 for $15000 the 2nd top priced sire of the sale with a tremendous combination of breed quality and character complementing his optimum beef and carcase attributes (EMA 116, FAT 12/11) an excellent weight for age (873 kgs @ 24 mths) a tidy underline with a scrotal circumference of 38cm. His sire produced the $11,000 top price heifer of the 2008 Female Focus Sale and his dam's first calf, Patriot, sold in 2007 for $11000. 2012 saw a strong line up of Riley's male progeny auctioned at the Feb All Breeds Bull Sale with Bryvonlea Lockyer, topping our draft at $6500, selling to Redskin Droughtmasters. Heifers by Billabong Riley topped the 2012 National Droughtmaster Female Sale reaching $5750. 7 Sons of Riley sold to a top $15000 twice and an average of $7142.00 at the 2012 Droughtmaster National Bull Sale. Heifers are sold at RSVP Female Sale, Central Qld Female Sale and The Cream of the Crop Female Sale. |

Seclected for his growth and body type Rockafellar spent 2 seasons on the show circuit and collecting a number of broadribbons including Reserve Senior Champion at Beef 2009.We then put him to work in our stud herd at Billabong where he is currently.Rockafellar is a long thick well muscled bull. His first drop of calves are impressing with there thickness and excellent coat types as well as polled heads and excellent temperment.

Reynold is the sire of Australian 2010 top priced selling Bull ‘ Billabong Toshi’ who was purchased jointly by The Salter Family, Glenfosslyn Droughtmaster Stud and the Vievers Family,Talgai Droughtmaster Stud.

We have sold 73 sons though the sale ring to average $7,465 as well as selling 20 heifers though the sale ring to average $4,875.Sadly we now have to rely on our AI program to see any future progeny from this stand out sire.

He is a very well natured bull. 9 Sons have sold at Rockhampton National to average $5666.00 topping at $11000. Bryvonlea Jupiter son of Jet Set topped the 2010 Droughtmaster section of the Feb All Breeds Sale selling to the Dahl Family for $6000 on a difficult market. Overall sales 35 sons to date have averaged $5015.00. Sire of the Grand Champion Droughtmaster Female at the 2010 Brisbane EKKA, Bryvonlea Princess Mary, his female progeny have won many broad ribbons and topped the Cream of the Crop Female Sale at $6000 .
